Otto Rettenmaier was a German entrepreneur. He was the owner of the Rettenmaier Group, a conglomerate based in Heilbronn, which, in addition to shares in the pulp works J. Rettenmaier & Söhne (JRS), based in Rosenberg, which was taken over from his parents, also included manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks, a real estate company, hardware and craft markets and a Bordeaux winery. In the list of the 500 richest Germans published by Manager Magazin in 2010, Otto Rettenmaier was ranked 292nd with an estimated fortune of 400 million euros. In his adopted home town of Heilbronn, he supported several cultural projects with large donations, most recently in 2010 the conversion of the Heilbronn City Archives building into the House of City History, which he made possible with a donation of 3 million euros.
