Terms of service

Draft terms for the Eterbook pilot. A full legal review will follow before public launch.

The service

Eterbook provides online memorial pages where users can light virtual candles, leave messages and create memorials for deceased persons. The basic service is free.

Your content

  • You may only upload photos and texts you have the right to use, and you keep ownership of them.
  • By publishing content you allow Eterbook to display it as part of the memorial.
  • Content must follow the community guidelines; we may remove content that does not.

Memorials

  • Creating a memorial for another person is only allowed with respect and, for private persons, in agreement with the closest family.
  • Families and estates can request management, verification or removal of any memorial at any time.
  • Public-figure memorials are community pages, clearly marked as such, and are not endorsed by the person’s estate unless verified.
