Privacy policy
Draft policy for the Eterbook pilot. A full legal review will follow before public launch.
What we store
- Candles and messages: the name or initials you enter, your message, and the country it came from.
- Memorials you create: the content you fill in, and a browser cookie that lets you manage them without an account.
- E-mail addresses only when you explicitly leave them (anniversary reminders, claim or contact forms).
- A salted hash of your IP address for spam protection — never the raw address.
What we never do
- No advertising on memorial pages, no selling of data.
- Private memorials are excluded from search engines.
- We do not publish personal data of living people; you can request removal at any time.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time via the removal request page. Memorial owners can delete their memorial and everything on it.
