Their story
Joan Feynman is an American scientist, geo- and astrophysicist who has made significant contributions to the study of the solar wind and its influence on the Earth's magnetosphere. She is best known for her work that helped to understand the physical nature of the aurora, as well as for a model that greatly simplified calculations of the radiation load on artificial Earth satellites, and for the development of a method for predicting the intensity of solar activity cycles. The first woman elected as a member of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), a member of the International Astronomical Union. Younger sister of physicist Richard Feynman.
