Javad Heyat

Cevad Heyet, Iranian Azerbaijani surgeon, Turkologist. Heyet, who has carried out studies in both medicine and Turkology, is considered the founder and pioneer of cardiac surgery in Iran. Heyet, who published the Varlık magazine, the oldest and continuous Turkish magazine published in Iran, laid the foundation of scientific Turkology together with his friend Hamit Nutki. He is known with the nicknames "The Whitebeard of Two Azerbaijanis", "Dede Korkut of Our Age", "Prometheus of Our Century", "Wise Grandfather".
