About their life

Albert Ladenburg was a German chemist. He was the first person to isolate Scopolamine. He worked with August Kekulé on structures of Benzene and incorrectly suggested a prismatic structure, though it was eventually realised in 1973 with the synthesis of Prismane, which is also known as Ladenburg Benzene.

He was the father of atomic physicist Rudolf Ladenburg.
