Their story
Friedrich Hans Ulrich bother was a German actor, theater director and radio play and audio book speaker whose career began at the Karl-Marx-Stadt Municipal Theater. He had his international breakthrough in 1989 in the leading role of Lieutenant Theodor Lohse in Bernhard Wicki's The Spider's Web. He gained further fame through the series' leading role as forensic doctor Dr. Robert Kolmaar in the ZDF crime series The Last Witness, which he played from 1998 to 2007, and in 2006 as Captain Gerd Wiesler in the film The Lives of Others, which received the Oscar for best foreign language film in 2007. During his career he appeared in numerous theater productions and in over 70 film and television productions.
