Tan Kah Kee (October 21, 1874 - August 12, 1961), formerly known as Jia Geng, with the courtesy name Keci, was a native of Tong'an, Fujian, and his ancestral home was Gushi, Huainan (now Gushi County, Xinyang City, Henan Province). He was a Chinese entrepreneur, philanthropist, and overseas Chinese leader. Political figure of the People's Republic of China, former deputy national leader.
