About their life

Esteban Ciriaco Barrenechea Arriaga, better known by his religious name Esteban de San José, was a Spanish Trinitarian religious man, shot during religious persecution, in the context of the Spanish Civil War (1934-1936). Considered a martyr by the Catholic Church, he was beatified by Pope Francis on October 13, 2013.
