Philippe de Scitivaux de Greische is a French soldier, Companion of the Liberation. Enlisted in the navy in the 1930s, he specialized in naval aviation and fought as a pilot during the Battle of France before escaping France to join the Free French naval forces. Distinguished during the Battle of Britain and the bombardments that followed it, he was however shot down and taken prisoner. After the war, he continued his military career up to the rank of squadron vice-admiral and held command positions in various institutions of the French navy.
