Their story
Najib Anton Albina was the head of the photography department of the Palestine Archaeological Museum in Jerusalem, where he took the first original sets of photographs of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Through contacts with the American Colony and the Palestine Archaeological Museum, he used photography as a means of recording the history of Christian Palestinian culture, as well as discovering ancient cultures in the region. He had a significant influence on the techniques used by archaeological photographers, especially those who photographed the Dead Sea Scrolls, to whom he advised on the use of infrared photography.
