Muhammad Farid Khurshid Al-Adnani is a Palestinian poet, short story writer, and linguist. He was born in Jenin and studied there, Gaza, and Tulkarm, then moved to the American University of Beirut and obtained his degree in 1927. He practiced teaching in a number of Arab countries, and ended his educational career as a teacher at the Syrian University, then the University of Aleppo. He changed his surname from “Khurshid” to “Al-Adnani” in 1936. He wrote collections of poetry, studies, linguistic dictionaries, and stories. He died in Beirut.
