Mikhail Youssef Khalil Baladi is a Syrian poet and novelist. He was born in Damascus, grew up and studied there. Then he continued his studies at the Salahiyah College in Jerusalem. He worked as a teacher of the Arabic language at the French-Arab Institute and the Patriarchal School in Damascus. He composed poetry from a young age and published it in Syrian and Arab newspapers and magazines, but did not compile it in a collection of poems. He has two novels: The Struggler and Freedom Day. He has literary, social and political articles.
