About their life

Mehmet Ertuğruloğlu is a Turkish Cypriot politician and diplomat. He served in Ankara as the first ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Türkiye between 1960 and 1964. Due to his relationship with the Turkish Resistance Organization, he was dismissed from his duty on 28 August 1964 and replaced by Ahmet Zaim. Before his ambassadorship, he served as the chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association. Ertuğruloğlu, who also had the title of professor, died in Ankara on July 23, 1976.
