Francisco Solano López was an Argentine cartoonist and artist. Considered one of the most important cartoonists in Argentine comics, his most recognized work is El Eternauta. He shares a name with the Paraguayan president Francisco Solano López (1826-1870), from whose brother Venancio he was a descendant.
