Ethel Lilian Voynich is an English writer, translator, composer, daughter of the prominent English scientist and mathematics professor George Boole, wife of Wilfred Voynich. The Voynich crater on Venus and the asteroid (2032) Ethel, discovered by T. M. Smirnova in 1970, are named in her honor.
