Béla Kun

Béla Kun was a Hungarian journalist and Bolshevik-Communist politician. He founded the Hungarian Communist Party in 1918 and de facto led the Revolutionary Government Council of the Hungarian Soviet Republic as Foreign Commissioner for 133 days from March to August 1919. As such, he founded the second socialist state in the world after Soviet Russia, and at the same time he was also responsible for the communist one-party system and the Red Terror of the Soviet Republic. After their fall as a result of the Hungarian-Romanian War in August 1919, Kun fled to Soviet Russia, where he was arrested as part of the Great Terror in 1937 and executed in 1938.
